A homeowner complained that the factor failed to arrange roof repairs in an appropriate timescale and failed to keep him informed of progress, after water ingress was reported on 7 December 2023 and repairs were not completed until 22 February 2024. The Tribunal found the repair timescale acceptable given the circumstances, but found a breach of s.6.4 of the 2021 Code of Conduct for failing to notify the homeowner that contractors had been instructed or to report on progress between December 2023 and mid-February 2024. A PFEO was issued requiring payment of £200 for inconvenience, which the factor paid and complied with in full.
